Final Fantasy VII Remake is finally out on PS5. I could spend a whole article talking about how it runs on the new console and the mere breath of performance updates, but that’s not what this review is about. Instead, we’re here to talk about INTERmission, the Yuffie-centric DLC that dropped alongside the new port. It’s a side story first, but a fun one packed with familiar characters for long-time fans and one of the best mini-games Final Fantasy as a whole has cooked up in ages.
Rich Meister's top 10 games of 2020
Congratulations, despite everything, you made it through the fever dream that was 2020. Despite the strange circumstances surrounding this year, a lot of good happened on my end, like officially joining the Swordchomp crew. I wanted to use this intro to thank the community for embracing my integration into the podcast and encouraging the work that all four of us do here. It’s just the beginning of the road for me, so I hope to bring you more great written content and even more in 2021.
Enough of that, though! Do you know what else happened in 2020? I played some fucking video games. Some good, some bad, some weird, but these were my ten favorites.
Shea Layton's top 10 games of 2020
2020. What a hell of a year. It was easily the longest and shortest year of my life. It was a year full of stress, heartbreak, anger, paranoia, and fear. Throughout all of the suffering and uncertainty, there was one bright spot: video games. And with all things considered, 2020 was a pretty damn good year for gaming.
That brings us to my list of top ten games for 2020. It was a difficult list in that it was hard to figure out where to place certain games due to developer narrative or which I truly felt was deserving of the spot thrust upon it. Without further ado, enjoy.
