Ep. 32 - Final Fantasy 8

Finally, the day has come where we reached far back into our past to discuss one of the most important RPGs of the four of our lives: Final Fantasy 8. Squall and his crew forever left imprints in our minds, so it was an incredibly fun and cathartic conversation to have.

Tune in for the next episode, as we will be discussing snacks that seem to be in the shape of insects.

Ikenfell, the new turn-based tactical RPG from Happy Ray Games dropped, and we were absolutely enamored with it. We decided to turn this discussion into two episodes because we had so much to say. The game has incredible character development, beautiful 8-bit music, a suspenseful and engrossing story, and a cute retro art style. We break down the story in all of its glory.

Enjoy the first part, and be on the lookout for part 2!

Ep. 23 - The Suicide of Rachel Foster

Hello everyone, and welcome to the 23rd episode of Chomping After Dark. We have an interesting chat this week as Morgan and Shea discussed The Suicide of Rachel Foster, an adventure game that throws the main character into a mystery of her forgotten past involving family and betrayal. Come check out what the guys had to say on their breakdown of this game's story.

Forewarning, some of the discussion involves difficult topics, so for those who look to avoid topics of suicide, grooming, and age of consent, this episode may be triggering for you.

Ep. 22 - Moon: Remix RPG Adventure

We are coming at you with another episode of Chomping After Dark! Josh and Rich sit down to discuss Moon, a game that was first published in 1997 for the Playstation in Japan, but was fortunately ported for the Switch this year.

It's whacky. It's silly. It's a blast. Enjoy.

And please, last but not least, leave us some feedback on this one! We are going to try to do episodes on some of these smaller games a little more frequently, so they don't take up the main 2 slots per month in the future. Let us know if you like us breaking down these lesser known indies!

Ep. 21 - Ghost of Tsushima

That's right, guys. The moment you have been waiting for is here. We sat down to discuss the glorious game Ghost of Tsushima. A long and emotional story about one samurai who must gather the remaining forces of Tsushima Island to repel the Mongol Invasion during the 14th Century, there was plenty to discuss.

Let us know what you guys thought of the game in the comments below, and let us know if there is anything that you want to hear next!

Ep. 19 - Maneater

Well hello there! You're in for a treat. After having one of our lengthiest and most contentious episodes to date on the last episode, we wanted to follow that up with one a little more whimsical and silly. We couldn't think of a better game to follow that up with than Maneater, a game where you play a voracious shark.

We break down the story and the absurdity of this game's story, and we fill in the gaps where we can.

Please enjoy, and don't forget to sharpen your teeth!
