This week we talk about the highs and lows so far this year. What stood apart at the top and bottom of that hill?

This week the last rounds are fired in the Genesis SNES console war.
The soldiers are wheeled out onto the field by their caretakers, and they look around confused. All is quiet until, after their nap, the Genesisians notice a Mario blanket over the cold legs of a nodding SNESite. An insult is hurled, marking the beginning of the final battle.
After their second nap the fighting continues:
“You think Sonic goes fast? That’s nothing compared to your kids on visitation day.”
“Mario’s moustache looks better on your mother.”
Bodies slumped over and contorted in pain, the fighting ends. Glassy eyes reflecting the clouds as they pass silently overhead—never again to gaze upon the pixels they fought for.
The nurses wheel them back in.
This week we uhh… umm… we uhh… we something… Ah, that’s right we—no, that wasn’t it…
Have you seen Being There? It’s really an underdiscussed Peter Sellers film. I was just thinking about how if you read it as if his character is—That’s it! We were talking about how game series keep our interest.
After that we talk about more Pokemon Legends Arceus and Solar Ash.
Whoaaaaaaa Nelly, we got a heater of an episode this week! We discussed The Bechdel Test, if it is applicable to gaming, and what games successfully pass the Bechdel Test. We talked about a TON of games: Psychonauts 2, Twelve Minutes, Tales of Arise demo, Plague Tale: Innocence, A Link to the Past, and Super Mario World. It was that time of the month as we shouted out our wonderful Patrons. We wrapped up this lovely show with our social media polls!
